Can you farm heavy savage leather

Some of the spots below require a much higher level, you will need to be high enough level to skin the mobs in the zone you area heading to.

Update: You can make a lot of gold with Savage Leather, but if you want to step it up and make thousands of gold you should read my personal favorite guide.

Right after your faction wins the battle head to the marshes to the west of Baradin Hold and kill Crocolisks. There is a daily quest that will send your faction to slaughter Crocolisks that you can skin.

This rush may only last minutes but it will give you the chance to farm a lot of Savage Leather. These are another great place to farm Savage Leather. My next favorite place to farm Savage Leather is in Twilight Highlands.

On the northern plateau there are elk, worg, gryphons and owls that are easy to kill and drop a lot of Savage Leather. After you cleared the instance, run out, then you have to reset it by right-clicking over your own portrait, and then click the "Reset Instance" button.

This restarts the whole instance, and all mobs will be back. You can only do 10 instance runs in an hour. Note: I recommend skipping the turtles in the large lava pool because it's really annoying to pull them while swimming in lava. The Tol Barad is located with the rest of the Cataclysm zone portals just above the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar and on the island to the north-east of the Dwarven District in Stormwind , but you have to be level 35 to use the portal.

This is the best place to farm if you can't solo Firelands. Kill Darkwood Lurkers and Darkwood Broodmothers around the marked area. There is a place at Molten Front with a lot of Cinderweb Creeper and a few other kinds of spiders, but you cannot go to Molten Front until you do some questing in Mount Hyjal.

Read this guide if you want to unlock this area. At the Pale Roost, stone giants are throwing rocks and knocking down Stone Drakes. When the drakes land, they will have about 50k HP left. They drop only Savage Leather or Blackened Dragonscale, no leather scraps. I did this and was able to get 53 heavy savage leather in under an hour. While doing this you can also kill the Darkwood Hatchling Critter in the area to help with the guild achievements Critter Kill Squad which unlocks the Armadillo Pup companion and Crittergeddon.

They are contained in a Sealed Crate that I fished up from Shipwreck Debris pools scattered around the island. Comment by apolojulius Pale roost in Deepholm is a good place to farm leathers quick with a high dps. Comment by demonalisa On my realm this sells for a wopping a stack, I have no idea why. Comment by Loremastertappa If you're on a PvP server and Tol Borad is controlled by the other faction, I have found an alternative skinning spot that works almost as well. This serves me well as a secondary skinning spot.

As an 85 rogue average pull size was mobs with the occasional 5th. Fantastic place! Comment by nahkhaz It appears that no mob yields heavy savage leather when skinned; only savage.

Has anyone skinned this off of a mob, raid or otherwise? Comment by lindseydoyle As of August 3rd, patch, the Pale Roost is no longer occupied. The giants that were throwing boulders to bring down the dragons are no longer there. Goodbye to one of the richest sources of Savage Leather and gold I had found. Comment by toranky If you've unlocked the Molten Front in Mount Hyjal daily quest area , the non-elite Cinderweb spiders that are located in the northeast The Widow's Clutch are great for skinning.

Respawn time is fast and they are easy to kill. There are hostiles ones and neutral ones. I typically focus more on the hostile ones because the neutral mobs are perched atop the columns there and they use their webs to pull you up.
