Tribes ascend which class should i unlock

Raider is probably the best overall class in the game, and easily the best duelist. Brute is more of a curiosity than anything else. It's a class that has no clear role, the sort of thing you unlock last when you're bored of screwing around with the other classes. So you should definitely unlock Brute. Why be like everybody else?

User Info: Subk Unlocking classes is quite quick compared to weapons. You'll probably unlock all classes before you get a single weapon, unless you buy. The SMG is one of the best, if not the best, automatic weapons in the game.

Heavy spinfusor and Fractals have a much lower learning curve but a much lower payoff. It's incredibly fun to crash the enemy stand and throw three fractals at it, denying them any chance to defend for about 10 seconds, which is plenty enough time for a capper to grab and get away. However, it's a brick and you'll get shredded by a competent duellist. Basically, Brute is more fun for a newbie, Raider is better. All cosmetic stuff is real money purchase only.

Other stuff everyone can get without paying a penny. Tribes Ascend is a perfect example how free to play game should be structured. There's absolutely no pay to win -aspect in it as everything that affects the gameplay can be bought with EXP. Tribes is not at all pay to win. The most powerful and verstatile weapon spinfusor Is is available on all three beginner classes for free.

MavericK96 said:. How much longer is the starter pack going to be available? I've only got like tokens from several matches usually in the top 3 every time and the classes require like tokens to unlock.

Leveling up seems to take a really long time. Here's a key for someone to use, please post if you take it. Javatango Limp Gawd. Joined Oct 5, Messages Oomps Gawd. Joined Sep 6, Messages Without that bonus I would be getting about 50 tokens per game.

So your shit ton of game time only equates to about 4 games The only class I have yet to unlock is the Jumper tokens. Meaning after games I should have him unlocked. Non VIP will have it unlocked in games.

Since then I have unlocked 6 other classes. It wasn't too big of a deal for me. Stick with one class and play till you have maxed out the rank. When you max out the rank or get close to maxing out the rank, you should be near unlocking a new class. That will greatly help out with unlocking classes. The developers don't make a dime other wise. Here's the scoop on a the next patch, as well as a few of the new weapons being added.

Pre-Ascend, a core aspect of Tribes was players' ability to hand-pick equipment from inventory stations to create custom roles. When Ascend forewent that freedom in favor of 12 loadouts classes that each carried discrete, restricted equipment, many fans complained that loadouts didn't jive with the original spirit of the franchise.

Seemingly in response to this, the next update finds a middle ground between full customization and rigid classes: each class will now unlock new weapons. The Jumper, Scrambler and Ranger classes are also being absorbed by other classes, bringing the total number of loadouts to nine.

The Jumper, for example, will now be part of the Pathfinder. When you level up the Pathfinder, you'll be unlocking and upgrading weapons and item sets that include the old Jumper arsenal, effectively making the Pathfinder a deeper and more interesting class for flag running and chasing.
